Va Quarter Cutting is the 1st worst worst worst film that I saw in my life. If I the film director come behind me sure I will give him a kumbibagam treatment. I think all the bad words in the world is created for this director. Now I am thinking of creating some new bad words for this director. Thank god I did not take my family to this film.Friends please don't ever try this movie, even if you have a brave heart sure your heart will get week.

Who Invented Credit Cards?

According to Encyclopedia Britannica, "the use of credit cards originated in the United States during the 1920s, when individual firms, such as oil companies and hotel chains, began issuing them to customers." However, references to credit cards have been made as far back as 1890 in Europe. Early credit cards involved sales directly between the merchant offering the credit and credit card, and that merchant's customer. Around 1938, companies started to accept each other's cards. Today, credit cards allow you to make purchases with countless third parties.

The Shape of Credit Cards

Credit cards were not always been made of plastic. There have been credit tokens made from metal coins, metal plates, and celluloid, metal, fiber, paper, and now mostly plastic cards.

First Bank Credit Card

The inventor of the first bank issued credit card was John Biggins of the Flatbush National Bank of Brooklyn in New York. In 1946, Biggins invented the "Charge-It" program between bank customers and local merchants. Merchants could deposit sales slips into the bank and the bank billed the customer who used the card.

Diners Club Credit Card

In 1950, the Diners Club issued their credit card in the United States. The Diners Club credit card was invented by Diners' Club founder Frank McNamara and it was intended to pay restaurant bills. A customer could eat without cash at any restaurant that would accept Diners' Club credit cards. Diners' Club would pay the restaurant and the credit card holder would repay Diners' Club. The Diners Club card was at first technically a charge card rather than a credit card since the customer had to repay the entire amount when billed by Diners Club.

American Express issued their first credit card in 1958. Bank of America issued the BankAmericard (now Visa) bank credit card later in 1958.

The Popularity of Credit Cards

Credit cards were first promoted to traveling salesmen (more common in that era) for use on the road. By the early 1960s, more companies offered credit cards, advertising them as a time-saving device rather than a form of credit. American Express and MasterCard became huge successes overnight.

By the mid-'70s, the U.S. Congress begin regulating the credit card industry by banning such practices as the mass mailing of active credit cards to those who had not requested them. However, not all regulations have been as consumer friendly. In 1996, the U.S. Supreme Court in Smiley vs. Citibank lifted restrictions on the amount of late penalty fees a credit card company could charge. Deregulation has also allowed very high interest rates to be charged.

Feeling like lost one leg - My bike is not with me.

I am feeling like I lost one my leg. My Thunderbird is in service station for 1 week and before it stood in my home for 1 week. Due to small accident my bike is in service station right now and luckily I am not in hospital as I jumped out of my bike otherwise 185 kg bird would have broken my leg. Thank God, its a great escape. My only worry right now is still my Thunderbird is in service station.

Express Avenue - Good shopping mall

Good shopping mall in Chennai, none other shopping malls in Chennai occupied this much place. I think still construction is going on for further phases. Good dining places, food court and retail shops. Expect for the parking cost every thing is fine. Nearly I spent 60 RS for 2 1/2 hours. Today I went in Bike so I escaped from heavy charges I think. I don't know how much they are charging for car parking.

Chennai is improving a lot, it a good sign.

Endhiran - Robotic graphical film

Good graphical movie.Shankar the great movie taker. This is not a usual Rajini dialogue movie, that is big dis appointment for his fans. But its a compulsory watch movie. Climax scenes looks like watching some great holy wood movie. Robotic giant snake swallowing the police cars, robotic giant wheel, giant robot, Robotic whip, etc in the climax took the movie into next generation of Tamil film industry. Here the awesome is none of this robotic scenes looks like artificial each and every thing looks like the real one. This movie gives the combination of Transformers, IRobot and Judgement Day. The other thing here I would like to say is Aish, she dance like any thing, this is 1 movie I am seeing her dance like this extreme in Indian heroein industry. This movie gives  importance to her also. She is  appearing in the most of the scenes. In overall this is a good 3 hrs entertainer. But sure this is a must watch movie for at least 1 time.

CSK vs Warriors ACLT20

Wow, what a match between CSK and Wariors, once again CSK proved they are the best in world. But this is the last match for them to play as a united team, who knows who is going to play in the team further. Consecutive win for CSK. Vijay proved his performance once again, Ashwin also joined this time with his ball. Dhoni proved he is a best captain in the world by winning this Champions League.  Every thing is fine in the team except one player Anirudh, I dn't know why he is still with the team and playing all the matches, I think he is there to teach and sing songs to/with the team.

Wow, what a great match between CSK and RCB yesteday, Raina Roasted RCB, Bollinger banned RCB in total CSK Crushed RCB. Finally CSK made their entry to Airtel CLT20 Finals. Especially I liked the commentary from "Solliadi" program in Hello FM 106.4 ran by Suresh and Aloysious. Good entertainment program, mainly the back ground song "Azagana Ouru  idhu, Tamiz pesum mannu idhu". Great stuff.

Today Subuki's marriage went well, I met all my previous to previous company collogues from HDFC. It was very nice time, I met Mahesh, Shiva and Sundaram. It was nice meeting them all.

Reliance DESQ - worst store ever I seen in my life.........

Reliance Electronics store is the ever ever worst store in the world. I bought Aqua Sure from this store but on the very 1st day I found the product is damaged, it was already 11.00 PM and I called the store next day and they gave me a reference no and told service engineers will come to my home to look into this issue, but it was 7th day and no one came to my home and I went to the store and I returned the product but they are not not ready to return my amount back and not guaranteeing on any product. I want to launch a compliant on them if any one of you know the details please do let me know. 

Endhiran the Robot

Trying my hope to get the tickets for the movie Endhiran for the preview show but I don't know what will happen. Lets hope I get the tickets.

Its good entertainer, each and every scene has been well scripted, Good comedy sense by Santhanam. Worth seeing movie......  No sentiments, no fight, very very less glamour, very very high comedy, and mainly no sad ending or sad things in the movie.

New Anna Century Library

New Anna Century library was opened in Adayar, Gandhi Mandabam road, I am not sure how many Crores spent to built this but this is too good outer area looks like a Shopping mall, it was designed in a very good manner.

Is Ashwathama character from Mahabaratha still alive.........

It's too lengthy but this can be written only in the lengthy way but very very interesting.........

Day before yesterday while I was turning the channels A program "Nijam" from Sun TV attracted me. The topic of the day was whether the Ashwathama character from Mahabaratha is still alive or not.....

Let's go to Ashwathama's story.......

Ashwathama is one of the seven Chiranjeevins. Dronacharya loved him dearly. False rumours about his death in the Kurukshetra war led to the death of his father at the hands of Prince Dhrishtadyumna. A vengeful Ashwatthama obtained permission from the dying Duryodhana to brutally murder Dhrishtadhyumna after the war had officially ended. Ashwathama at the end of the war promised Duryodhana that he would kill the Pandavas, and attacked the Pandava camp in the middle of the night, but by error ended up murdering the 5 sons of the Pandavas by Draupadi.
The Pandavas, incensed by this act, chased him resulting in his fight with Arjuna. During the fight, Ashwatthama invoked the 'Brahmastra' against Arjuna and Arjuna in response invoked the 'Pashupatastra'. Fearing the destruction of the world, the sages advised both to take back their weapons. While Arjuna could do so, Ashwathama (presumably having less skill) could not and was given the option of choosing any single target to destroy. Out of spite, Ashwathama directed the weapon to the womb of Uttara, Arjuna's daughter-in-law.
At this time, Uttara was carrying the unborn Parikshit, son of Abhimanyu, who upon birth would be the future heir to all the Pandava brothers. The Brahmastra weapon was successful in fatally burning the foetus, but Krishna revived the still born child and cursed Ashwathama with leprosy and to roam the world for 3,000 years as an unloved castaway. In another version, it is believed that he is cursed to remain alive till the end of the Kaliyuga. It is believed that Ashwathama migrated to the land currently known as Arabian peninsula. [CITATION NEEDED]
Ashwathama also had to surrender a valuable gem set on his forehead, the wearer of which ceases to have any fear from weapons or disease or hunger, and he ceases to have any fear of gods and danavas and nagas.
Ashwathama was a great warrior and was even known to have revived the Kaurava army from sorrowness by invoking the Narayana astra. But Lord Krishna instructed the Pandava army to lay down their arms and hence the astra was finally conquered. He also invoked the agneyastra against Arjuna but he quelled it with the Brahmastra.
Ashwathama was one of the three survivors of the Kaurava army with Kritavarma and Kripacharya."

People locating in a place at Maharastars claims that still Ashwathama is roaming in that place. Also people says that, on daily basis Ashwathama is entering in to the siva temple and doing some pujas to Siva Lingam with some new flowers which is not available in near by places. some other says he is knocking the door and asking for the termeric powder and medicine for the wound thathe has in his head. Other says some people were bocome mentally disordered when they tried to investigate this and due to this the temple remains closed from 6.00 PM to next day morning 8.00 AM...

This is unbelivible but we have very high chance to believe, no other go......

Long drive to office in Thunderbird..........

It is very nice experience driving Thunderbird in a traffic. I enjoyed my driving today especially in signals. Behind me there was 3 other good 2 wheelers respectively Appache,  Pulsor and CBZ along with my Thunderbird, in fact they violated the traffic and stood behind the stop line. But after the signal lights went to green all of a sudden my bike went at first in a fraction of seconds and all the three bikers were blinking at me.  They tried to compete but I did not give them a chance and voluntarily slowed down my bike and make them go behind me and again in a fraction of second I took over them and stood in the next signal. Again the games started here but this time I did not wait for them at a single stretch I reached my home. Thanks to Thunderbird. It was a nice experience. But I don't want to try this again in my life because I know this is always risk.These guys irritated me since long way and I want to teach them a lesson and did this. But this was very very thrilling experience. What ever bike comes nothing can compete Thunderbird.

Stanley's Marriage on 8th Sep 2010

It was a great experience travelling to Trichy to attend Stanley's marriage at Trichy. We started from Tambaram around 4 AM from Tambaram and reached Trichy by 7.30 AM. Road is built in good way but with little bumpy. Thanks to Suzuki Swift. IT went very well in the high ways. Again we started  from Trichy around 12.45 and reached Vilupuram by pass around 2.30 and had a coffee in A2B. Then we started from there by 3.00 PM and reached Acharapakkam neat Melmaruvathur by 3.30 there we went to one of our colleague house and started from there by 4.00 PM and due to heavy traffic in Perungalathur we reached Tambaram only by 5.45 and we went to another colleague Vasu's house and we started from there by 6.15 and since another person Ganapathy has to catch the train to Kerala we did not went to Aravin's house and due to heavy traffic in Velachary Ganapathy got up in Velachery MRTS station and went to Central railway station in train. and I dropped  Madhini's in her house and crossed Central by 8.00 PM and b that time Ganapathy sharply caught his train and I reached my home by 8.45. This was a amazing 1 day trip to Trichy. In total we travelled 750 KMS in a day and I alone drove the vehicle for all 750 KMS. Again thanks to Suzuki Swift, it went well without stopping any were and good maillage in 38 litres Diesel we travelled 750 KMS.

My HDFC Friend

Today by luckily I get a chance to speak to my friend Karthik who worked with me in HDFC Bank. Through Orkut he sent me the friend request and luckily he came in a Gmail chat today and we had a voice chat. We ran through over 7+ years of memories. I spoke to him after 3 years, currently he is in Malaysia. Still We are searching over HDFC friends through many network. We hope that we will find all our friends.

Horrible days for past 2 weeks

My 4 months old Thunderbird got struck up due to poor battery condition, I have asked for the replacement from the company and still the same in progress. I don't know when this will be cleared. I am totally upset because of this. Royal enfield service center simply telling some nonsense if any one you knows any way to get this cleared in the easy way please get back to me.......

P. M. Prakash marriage reception on 02nd Sep 2010

Yesterday was Prakash's marriage reception. It was good attending the function. But little disappointed that none of our friends attended the marriage, only friend came to marriage was Sathya. But I am happy that at-least I saw him. Friends who see this msg, please wish Prakash for his marriage.

Normal day but so tired:):):):):):):):):):)

Even though today is holiday, the full day went so tired because of Chennai traffic. Where ever you go what ever the time can be you can see full traffic in Most of the important places in Chennai.

New Restaurant (Sangetha) in Velachery

Today I went to one new restaurant Sangeetha in Velachery (not the usual Sangeethas) food is very good, cool and musical ambiance, Food served in a very pleasing manner, mainly the ordered food is served very quickly. People are waiting in a queue. This is not a 5 or 3 star hotel, This is good mid size restaurant. Deserts are good, especially the ice creams are very very good.

Do not carry Khas-Khas- A serious warning for luggage

Dear Friends - I got the following msg from my friend as a forwarded mail, just thought of sharing it with you, but now sure whether this is true or not, but be precautionary while you pack your things


Yesterday only I came to know of a case from a friend of mine which is very scary. One of his friends was traveling to UK via Dubai . Unfortunately he was carrying a packet of Khas Khas which is a commonly used spice in some Indian curries and sweets. Khas Khas is also known as poppy seed which can be sprouted to grow narcotics (afeem etc.).

This innocent person did not know that recently the laws in UAE and other Gulf countries have been revised and carrying Khas Khas is punishable with minimum 20 years of imprisonment or even worse with death penalty . Currently, the person is in a jail in Dubai for the last two weeks. His friends are frantically trying hard for his release but are finding that this has become a very very serious case. Lawyers are asking huge fees amounting to AED 100,000 even to appear in the court to plead for his innocence.

Please forward this email to all you know specially in India . They should know the seriousness of this matter and should never ever carry even minutest quantities of the following items when traveling to Gulf countries:

1. Khas Khas whether raw, roasted or cooked.
2. Paan
3. Beetle nut (supari and its products, e.g. Paan Parag etc.)

The penalties are very severe and it could destroy the life of an innocent person.

I appeal you to create the awareness by forwarding this msg to all you know.

Rain in Chennai

Yesterday, it was heavy rain in Chennai it seems, I did not see this directly but the GP (General Peters) road, Chennai was fully surrounded with rain water, I was on my way to my home around 9.00 PM towards this road by the time there was a heavy traffic because of the rain and due to the heavy water on the road one car behind me got struck up in the rain water, it was the horrible day for the people who travelled in that car. But I was very happy for this, because that guy drove his car very rashly. He crossed me in the less space like a elephant. I got fainted for a fraction of seconds, I was about to dash a person beside me but managed quickly and escaped from the accident.

Srini's Marriage Reception on 30th Aug 2010

Dear Friends,


Yesterday I went to Srini's marriage reception. It was the wonderful moment. I met my school/College/Area friends all together. I will not forget this occasion in my life time. I met Sathish, his wife and his 2 kids, I met Hemalatha with her husband, I met Abu with his wife and Babu, I was expecting Sathya and P.M. Prakash but unfortunatley I never get a chance to meet them in the marriage occasion. these people are my ST James classmates. Also I met my College seniors (But friends) Gokul and Umapathy. Also I met Giribabu my classmet in Govt.School and I met Suresh my college and class met in L.N.G college. I went to this marriage with my wife and with my kid.
