Met my college friends

One of the happiest moment in my life today... YES!!! I met some of my college classmates today in one of friend's sisters marriage.. Ponnuvel, Gold (Thangaraj), Gopi, Srini, Anand, Siva (School classmate).. We shared our college and school day happiness, fighting's, rumors, etc.. It was a high time!!! yes of course, it was a high time for everyone on their college days.....

This is just a polambal of the parents for their child's with the white color school uniform.. Why the school management is not thinking of the city pollution. I wish the school management has to come every week to each students house and wash students white uniform. At least then they would realize the complication in washing the white uniform..

Great escape in rain today

Today was also a horrible day for me and for my Brother In Law (BIL). While we were travelling towards Puzhal on the Ambattur bypass it was a heavy rain and the 1st lane was stagnated with full rain water. And already a truck wax passing on the lane, so I took the 3rd lane where there were no water. I was going in 30 km/hr speed and all of a sudden while we cross the area where there were full of rain water, suddenly our car was spitted with the stagnated water from road and all of a sudden we last our visibility in the car.

Fraction of seconds, I saw my grandfather crossing my vision and the same word came from my BIL also. On no minute of time I thought I stopped my car, but only after I got the clear vision, I realized that I was in a middle lane, I don't know how I came there. Thanks to the lorry driver who came behind me, he just took a right decision immediately and took a right lane and we just missed a great crash. Then we came to normal situation and drove to our home.. Great escape.............Friends take care while you drive on the rainy days.

Heavy traffic in a Rainy day

OMG, what a terrific traffic in Chennai highways. Horrible day!!!! When ever we start from office around 5.20, at the max I will reach home around 6.00 PM. But today due to the heavy rain and due to that there was a heavy traffic on the road from Ambattur by-pass to Puzhal connecting road. We stood there for more than 45 mins without even moving any inch in the road. After we lost our patience, myself, Bala and Haribabu  thought of walking towards the way to have some tea, but unfortunately again rain started.. Luckily we had 2 umbrellas but we are 3 persons. I stood in the car because I was not feeling good and not willing to go in rain.. They moved for 50 mtrs and unfortunately vehicles started moving. Bala and Hari stopped the  cab on the way and the got into the car. They missed their high tea on the heavy rain. We started and traffic started to get cleared slowly, that was the thing we thought in our mind.

But again after moving 2.5 km's ahead yes the similar way of traffic. Again wasted another 20 mins there and luckily crossed over the traffic and  one by one moved out from the cab on their points. They are so lucky no rain by that time. My drop point came with the heavy rain, I would like to say thanks to my cab driver, he had a umbrella and with that I got down in my home at 7.20 PM. The only thing which got in my mind is China traffic for more than 20 days then I calmed myself.. Yes I am so lucky I was in traffic only for 1 1/2 hours.

I hate this 2 weeks

I feel like I lost myself in this world. 1st time in my life I missed to touch my bike and car for more than a week, all because of this typhoid. I hate this typhoid............. I want to take my bike on Saturday at least........

Worst experience in my 10 years of work life.......

I seriously pity on people who does not know how to react in the corporate world.. Got a very, very, very,,,,,,, worst experience in my 10 years of professorial life. One guy is irritating me like anything in work, damm bull scrap guy. For a simple & simple day to day activities this guy goes on complaining to seniors. It just taking me to my 8th or 9th std class.. Teacher this person is scolding me, teacher this person is not taking me with him, teacher this person is not giving respect to me, teacher this person is doing all the activities, teacher.........!!!!! bull scrap.....

Seriously I don't know how this person survived these many years with such kind of bad attitude........ Not willing to pass his name here, I know for sure from some where this person will come to know about this blog.. At least after reading my blog, if he revisit's his attitude, I will be more happy.

1 full diet week with the name of typhoid..........

It was a worst week(Last week) ever I spent in my life.. Weak health, full diet control, no solid food, only bread, milk and biscuits to eat and drink. Oh my god!!! as a Indian, surviving without Rice, Sambar, Rasam and poriyal, managing a week is the toughest day. At last I came over my typhoid and from yesterday I started taking rice, but the twist here is only butter milk to add up with the rice.. What to do? Diet control is the best way to over come typhoid, so I adjusted for a week and continuing the for the coming week.. Doctor confirmed, only from next week I can continue with my regular food......

Everything is for good :):):):):)

T.V.. Channels are running out of money

I think most of the TV channels are running out of money to run, especially Kalaingar TV.. I saw a damm program to call them to revel the answer for the toughest question in the world.

Incredible India..........

1. We live in the nation where Rice is Rs 40/- per kg and Sim Card is free..
2. Pizza reaches home faster than the Ambulance and Police
3. Students with 45% get in elite institutions through quota system and those with 90% get out because of merit.
4. Where a millionaire can buy a cricket team instead of donating the money to any any charity. 2 IPL teams are auctioned at 3300 Crore and we are still a poor country where people starve for 2 square meals per day.
5. Where the footwear are sold in AC rooms, but Vegetables that we eat are sold on the foot path
6. Where everybody wants to be famous but nobody wants to follow the path to be famous..
7. Assembly complex buildings are getting ready within one year while public transport bridges alone take several years to be completed.
8. Where we make lemon juices with artificial flavors and dish wash liquids with real lemon..

That's why we say we are incredible India

Meetings and time-lines in corporate world…

This writing is to show a glimpse on how we are managing our time-lines in our day to day work environment.

Meeting organizer (MO) is sending out a mail to attendees (AT) stating the meeting date and time and he is going to give a PDF presentation on the conference room TV monitor which is connected in the net word

Say for example; Date = any date (Date is not important for this story) 
Time = 10.30 AM to 11.30 AM

Here comes the date when the meeting is scheduled and its 15 mins before the meeting start time.

Story begins from here once after everyone got the remainder on the desktop:

10.15 AM 
Everyone will snooze it for 5 mins before start of the meeting. 
MO: Its only 10.15 we will wait let the AT goes 1^st 
AT: Its only 10.15 let AT goes 1^st

10.25 AM 
Open the remainder read it fully then closes it and dismisses the reminder. 
MO: Still we have 5 mins let AT goes 1^st then we will go 
AT: Mo itself sitting in the desk what we are going to do in the meeting let MO goes fist and then we will go.

10.33 AM 
MO: Common guys, we have to be in the starting stage of the meeting but still we are here. Please hurry up we have to do it at any cost.

10.40 AM 
MO and AT are gathered in the meeting room. Ouch!!! How to connect the TV monitor into system, how to plug in the network cable..

One person from the meeting room is dialing the helpdesk person to help in connecting the monitor and network cable.

Mean time the topic for the meeting is opened in the room, by the time clock has crossed 10.45 AM.

One of the voice murmuring what the hell the helpdesk person is doing we called him 5 mins before and still he did not come it’s already 10.50; we have to complete the meeting today at any cost.

10.52 AM 
One voice from the door asking what I have to do, yes it’s from a helpdesk person. He understands the issue he took some time to search where the cables and somehow he connects the monitor cable and network cable. Now the heavy breath coming out from the helpdesk person and from the MO&AT, Oh god at last everything is perfectly set. Now the helpdesk person is moving out from the meeting room.

10.55 AM 
Sir, Tee/Coffee. The voice from the person who brings tea/coffee, (Happy moments from AT, at last we got coffee, a person from the group slightly raises his/her eyes to see MO without getting the attention of others, yes the same feeling like others came out from MO also)

Yes now the time is exactly 11.00 AM. And the meeting is just stepped into the next level after introduction stage, lots of conversations, doubts, debates, murmuring, laughing, writing, oh my god the meeting is going very well as expected.

Now the villain for the meeting is getting introduced,

Excuse me… we have booked the room from 11.30 to 12.30, can you please look for some other place for your meeting, its urgent we are already late by 5 mins (late entry from another team) and we have to log into a call immediately

Some from the meeting room now turns up their wrist and some taking out their mobiles to check the time, oh its bad, already we crossed 11.35 AM.

MO to AT: Ok we will continue further by opening the mail forum. I will share the PDF, please spare some time to read the PDF and put everything in the mail forum to discuss.

AT: Great stuff we had in the meeting, How come these guys know about our important meeting? Always they are here to disturb our meetings. We should speak with the management to get separate meeting room.

What is our learning from the above story? 
Only below 3 flashed on my mind. If any of are not agreeing this, please do share your views on the story as well as in the learning’s.

1.     Plan your time before you start anything. Time is precious

2.     Organize your preliminary works before start of the occasions

3.     Take the ownership, don’t wait for “other to start first”

What and How - Go Green?????

What is Go Green? 
Fundamentally, going green means to live life, (it may be as an individual or as a community) in a way that is friendly to the natural environmental and is sustainable for the earth. It does not mean that involvement is only in recycling or only on planting trees. Going green involves much more.

It means contributing towards maintaining the natural bio/eco-logical balance in the environment, and safeguarding the earth/planet and its natural systems and resources.

It also means taking steps (It may be big or small) to minimize the harm you do to the environment, as a result of inhabiting this planet.

In practice, going green means accepting simple 6 fundamental rules in our day to day life: 
1^st rule: reduce pollution….. How? Minimal utilization of gas emitting vehicles, Better usage of bi-cycles or slow walk to the near by places where we want to go. It also make us healthier. Another classic example is walking in steps instead of lift in the office premises and in malls.

2^nd rule: conserve resources….. How? A simple example, always we bring our own hand kerchief in our pockets but what is the use? Still we use tissue’s in the wash rooms and in lunch rooms after finishing the food. Do any one aware that we have to destroy 17 trees to manufacture 1 ton of tissue. Now tell me what is the use of planting the trees on one end and using the papers on other end for everything and talking about Go Green?

3^rd rule: conserve energy….. How? Good example, there are natural ways that you can keep your house cooler on reducing the workload of your air conditioner and conserving the energy. Still you raise your eye brows?  Read this; by planting trees, by changing the paint color of your home and by placing the cooler glass windows we can significantly control the inside temperature of a home. Some other cool examples are switch off the computer monitors when not in use, also turn off the lights or fan switches when not in use.

4^th rule: reduce consumption and waste….. How? This can be done only by reducing the waste particles. Wastages thrown by industries/factories should be re-used or should be destroyed properly. Why do we need to talk about industries/factories, take an example of self. What most of the peoples do at home or in the restaurants? Cooking or ordering excess food and throwing it away, this is also called as pollution and this is one of the reasons for digging hole in the “Ozone”

5^th rule: protect the earth’s ecological balance….. How? Step 1: Plant some trees. What next? Step 2: Don’t think digging hole and putting a plant inside will be sufficient, we have to maintain it. What next? Step 3: Don’t destroy it. What next? Continue from Step 1

6^th rule: Follow…..? Follow all the above 5 rules. I am not saying everything should be followed on immediate effect. Slowly try to adopt yourself to the above rule.

All the above rules are essential in caring the environment from harm, as well as helping to ensure that living (for humans and other creatures) on earth is sustainable.
